Campidano Bike Tours

Most of the route takes place on dirt roads, unpaved paths, and country tracks that cross farms, vineyards, and olive groves. There are also shaded sections with holm oaks, cork oaks, and carob trees, which offer a pleasant refuge on warmer days. During spring, the route comes alive with the colors of wild blossoms, while in autumn, you can sense the intense scent of damp earth and aromatic herbs.

Along the trail, you may encounter small seasonal streams, dry-stone walls, and the remains of ancient rural structures—testaments to the agricultural traditions of the area.

Natural and Cultural Interest

The route crosses areas of significant environmental interest, where you can spot various species of birds of prey and small mammals. In some sections, the path touches old farm roads that once connected agricultural villages.

A seconda dell’area geografica precisa, il tracciato può includere anche punti d’interesse archeologico o nuragico tipici del territorio sardo, oltre a zone panoramiche ideali per la fotografia naturalistica.

Practical Tips

  • The route can be cycled year-round, but the best seasons are spring and autumn.

  • In summer, given the length of the ride, an early morning departure and an adequate water supply are highly recommended.

  • The unpaved surface makes the journey suitable for mountain bikes or e-bikes.

  • A GPS device or a paper map is recommended: although the trail is well-defined, it features intersections in agricultural areas that are not always signposted.
